What is the difference between 3 Part and SAB?
3 Part music limits the part three range from F to D (or E to E) allowing for a more limited tenor range. Useful in middle school but also for any age to build confidence in the male sound. Choose 3 Part music that hangs on the lower side of this limited range when working with high school or adult males. SAB literature has an extended baritone range that reaches down to low A and sometimes lower and tends not to go often above middle C. SAB is not appropriate for the younger changing voice as this forces them to sing lower too early in their development.
